We Are In Specialists in Wireless WiFi Installation

There are several reasons why wifi installations may fail. This can include issues with the initial design, interference, improper placement or coverage, or insufficient capacity. Unlike wired networks, wifi installations can be more complex and prone to various problems. Therefore, it is highly recommended that businesses seek the expertise of professionals when installing wireless equipment to ensure a successful installation.

Three Simple Wireless WiFi Site Survey Options

OPTION 1

Point to Point Links

Wireless point to point links are a type of communication system that transmits data wirelessly from one specific location to another fixed point.

These links can range from a few hundred meters to several kilometers in distance and are often used for telecommunications, internet connectivity, or business network connectivity.

They are useful in situations where it is impossible or not cost-effective to lay physical cables.

If you think you may require a link our experts can do an initial review at no charge to confirm if its potentially viable.

OPTION 2

Outdoor WiFi/Wireless Access

1. Camping and Caravan Sites: Wireless technology can drastically improve the visitor experience. Visitors can use outdoor Wi-Fi access to look up maps, trails, weather updates, or communicate with loved ones.

2. Marinas: Outdoor Wi-Fi access at marinas can benefit both staff and boating enthusiasts. Staff can manage operations, bookings, and customer services more effectively. Boat owners can check weather conditions, tidal information, or simply stay connected for entertainment.

3. Sporting Stadia: Large sporting venues can benefit immensely from outdoor Wi-Fi access. It enhances the fan experience by allowing them to access team stats, replays, and order food directly from their seats. It can also facilitate ticket scanning, security operations and real-time crowd management for the venue staff.

OPTION 3

Indoor WiFi Wireless Access

Indoor WiFi and Wireless Access is widely used in places like Offices, Schools, Colleges and Universities, Warehouses, restaurants, bars and cafes, hotels, conference centres, libraries, care homes and shopping centres.

We have decades of experience in delivering cost effective solutions in all of these environments with some members of our team working with Indoor Wireless since 1997.

Where do you begin with WiFi Installation?

What Should Happen First?

It is highly recommended to begin with a WiFi site survey to ensure the success of your network.

Before conducting the survey, it is important to determine the objectives of your network.

Will it be used for VOIP communication? If so, what specific system will be needed?

Additionally, consider if video capabilities are necessary and estimate the number of client devices that will be present during meetings.

We Discuss Your Preferences

When setting up a network, it’s important to think about your preferences for the model or manufacturer of certain components like access points, switches, or firewalls.

Having this information in advance will ensure that your network operates efficiently. If you’re unsure about your preferences, we are here to provide guidance.

Based on the type of building and whether you currently have access to the premises or if it’s a proposed development, we will suggest a survey that best fits your requirements.

After the survey is conducted, your assigned project manager will reach out to you to discuss the installation date.

How We Complete The Installation

Our team pre-configures all equipment in our offices before coming to your site to complete the installation. Once the installation is finished, we thoroughly test your onsite system to ensure it meets all necessary requirements.

You will then be asked to sign the paperwork, confirming that the installation has met your specifications.

If you have opted for our Managed Service, Performance Networks will begin monitoring the services at this point.

We will use the first few days of your new network to ensure that everything is running optimally, including assessing both internet connectivity (WAN) performance and the performance of the LAN (wired and wireless connections).
